Continuing to implement various activities under the master plan on strengthening international cooperation in training and research of the university, the International Cooperation Office (ICO) in 2019 has obtained remarkable results and contributions to improving the reputation, training quality, scientific research and technology transfer of the university.
In 2019, the University welcomed 100 international delegations with nearly 700 guests from many agencies, organizations and universities. Numerous research and training exchanges took place within the framework of MOU/ MOA between VNUA and partners. Besides, the University also continues to expand cooperation through signing and extending nearly 20 MOU, MOA.

The University has become one of the favorable destinations for many international students. In 2019, in the framework of bilateral cooperation with partners in Asia and Europe, the University implements several international programs such as credit exchange, internships, summer school, cultural exchanges attracting nearly 100 foreign students from such countries as Germany, the Netherlands, France, Czech, Indonesia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan ...).

In order to enhance cultural exchange, help international students quickly integrate into the cultural and educational environment of Vietnam, create cohesion between domestic and international students as well as create favorable conditions for students, the Culture Night 2019 was held at the University and attracted nearly 200 students from Angola, Cambodia, Laos and Japan, Korea, Mozambique, Germany, Netherlands, Czech, and Vietnam.

The University also received many new international cooperation projects from various donor agencies and organizations such as IFS Sweden, Irish Embassy, Nuffic Netherlands, European Commission, Global Challenge Research Fund, Australian Government's Aus4 Innovation Program. In particular, the project "Strengthening scientific and technological capacity and human resource training for agricultural restructuring and new rural construction" under the Supporting Autonomous Higher Education Program (SAHEP) with the total budget of US $ 54.2 million.

In particular, the cooperation between VNUA and embassies in Vietnam, businesses and international organizations has been strengthened and tightened.
